Work Package 5

Development of innovative feed products by replacing antibiotics with phytobiotics – Quality control of the produced fishfeed

Duration months: 3-46

Objectives

As part of this work package, the requirements and specifications for fish feed ingredients will be improved. In particular, the consortium will be informed by the respective partners about the equipment and production processes they use, while the aquaculture farms will announce their requirements from the encapsulated phytobiotics. In particular, issues of quality and properties such as taste, nutritional characteristics, antimicrobial and antiparasitic activity, etc. will be discussed, in order to determine the detailed needs of producers. In the final products of fish supplements, bioactive content, stability and shelf life will be assessed.
Escalation of selected processes, conducting feasibility study and assessment of environmental footprint, economic and energy flows.
